official word processor of the demo lab

(in other words, we all should be using it but few do)

• on a linux box:

  type "maker5"

  
  (you may need a license, see this)
• on an sgi:

  type "maker" for FrameMaker4

  or, run maker5 remotely on a linux pc

• on a pc:

  we've got the disks for maker4 or 5 somewhere.

• on a mac:

  It may be there already

To convert maker4 to maker5 and viceversa:
*maker5 reads maker4 files
*save maker5 files as "mif" if you want to read them with maker4
