• Each species occupies an ecological niche and interacts with other species:
  
  
  • Mutualism: Two species benefit each other
    * The bees and the flowers
  • Antagonism: One species is negatively affected
    * The rabbit and the carrots
  • Commensalism: One species is unaffected
    * The remoras and the shark
  
  ...and Reciprocal Adaptation, i.e. COEVOLUTION, will occur.
